The Barunga Festival is an all ages, 3-day camping event in the community of Barunga in the Northern Territory.
At the Barunga Festival, you can experience genuine Aboriginal culture, as it has existed for the past 60,000 years. There are arts and crafts available for purchase, direct from the artists, didgeridoos to make with Jawoyn men and take home, pandanus baskets to weave, as well as traditional Aboriginal bunggul (dancing) to witness, and bush tucker to taste. And 2 nights of sensational music on 2 stages. Sport - witness the greatest regional sport carnival - Aussie rules, basketball and softball.
