Inspire and challenge your school community to a greater understanding of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander perspectives in a fun, interactive and authentic way.
Australians Together is partnering with Scott Darlow to support teachers and learners to engage with our shared history, the reality of life for Indigenous Australians today and how we can create a better future, together.
Scott Darlow is a singer songwriter who has toured Australia extensively, performing and presenting in various schools. He is an Aboriginal man from Yorta Yorta Country, and an ex-school teacher which enables him to bring an authentic and unique perspective on Australia’s history. Scott will use his music and vivacious personality to connect and open hearts and minds to listen to his compelling message.
Our sessions with Scott include live music, multimedia, historical and personal stories, and can be tailored to the particular needs of your school. We offer workshops and presentations for a single class, year level or entire school, as well as professional learning for teachers. Sessions address the Australian curriculum content and AITSL standards and are underpinned by our own proven learning framework.
“Scott Darlow has been presenting to our Year 10 cohort at Woodcroft College every year for the past 10 years. He is a passionate presenter and performer, who both challenges and entertains the students; he leaves them better informed and feeling positive and motivated in regards to influencing change and being a part of the reconciliation journey in Australia. He is an inspiration and a wonderful role model for all young Australians, Indigenous and non-Indigenous alike.”

"Developing a new unit can be a bit daunting for busy teachers, especially because this is not our area of expertise. We wanted to make it authentic for the students and for us. Australians Together were fantastic and helped us plan a Year 9 unit with links to the Australian Curriculum - they helped strip it back to what we really wanted to get across to the kids…Scott Darlow kicked the unit off and that was really fantastic."
