Unit overview
This English unit combines reading, writing and oral language around the theme of learning from First Nations authors. Students come together in groups to read a shared text by a First Nations author. The activities guide students to analyse author style and experiment and apply what they learn in their own writing. The unit broadens for students to learn about Aboriginal English and consider the importance of respect for people by respecting their language and culture.
