In this unit students:
- build understanding and knowledge of First Nations Peoples’ aquaculture practices
- examine ancient sites while developing research/note-taking skills
- gather information and understand how First Nations Peoples used and use waterways and oceans to obtain food
- explore a case study of Brewarrina Fish Traps (Ngunnhu) and other evidence from pre-colonisation
- understand the significance of aquaculture practices and ancient sites for First Nations Peoples
- demonstrate their learning by creating a multimodal presentation.
