First Nations aquaculture

In this unit students:

• build understanding and knowledge of First Nations Peoples’ aquaculture practices
• examine ancient sites while developing research/note-taking skills
• gather information and understand how First Nations Peoples used and use waterways and oceans to obtain food
• explore a case study of Brewarrina Fish Traps (Ngunnhu) and other evidence from pre-colonisation
• understand the significance of aquaculture practices and ancient sites for First Nations Peoples
• demonstrate their learning by creating a multimodal presentation.
