Identity and First Nations art

In this unit, students will:

• examine their own and their family’s identity, values and cultures
• compare, analyse and evaluate First Nations artists’ methods and artworks
• explore ways First Nations artists communicate ideas
• understand ways First Nations Peoples continue to develop their cultures
• learn about cultural appropriation and how to avoid it
• respond to their learning by creating their own artworks.
