Unit overview
This unit explores the reciprocal relationship that First Nations Peoples have with Country, underpinning custodial responsibility to care for Country. Through exploration of ancient cultural landscapes, seasonal calendars, Indigenous Protected Areas, land management practices and songlines, students gain an understanding of how First Nations Peoples use cultural, social and spiritual knowledges to live sustainably on Country, maintain cultural connectedness and address current and future environmental challenges to ensure a sustainable future.
