Unit overview

In this unit, students will:

  • understand the history of our nation through media created by First Nations artists
  • analyse The Australian Wars documentary, by Rachel Perkins, for filmmaking techniques
  • investigate media texts that promote togetherness and attempt to heal the injustices and impacts of colonisation
  • create media texts that tell the story of our nation using the film and documentary techniques analysed.
