Unit overview
In this unit, students will:
- explore the ways female First Nations artists use visual conventions such as pattern, symbol, colour and line to convey meaning in their artworks
- experiment with different artistic styles, creating their own artworks based on the pieces that they’ve viewed by each of the featured female artists
- listen to artists explaining the ways that their art is inspired by Country and the ways they use art as a tool to share their First Nations culture.
