Unit overview
In this unit, students will play a range of First Nations games discovering the forces of pushing and pulling via the movements of hitting, throwing, spinning and rolling. Natural materials used to make First Nations toys are explored, as well as human-made materials. Students design and make a toy that can be pushed or pulled, culminating in a talking circle to share their toys, demonstrate the force used to move the toy and consider the connections they’ve made during their learning.
