Unit overview

In this unit, students will:

  • build their understanding of pattern in maths
  • build their understanding of algebraic formulas
  • explore how algebraic formulas can be used to describe interactions between real-life variables
  • recognise how algebraic formulas describe recurring patterns
  • identify that First Nations Peoples’ knowledges were built over time through scientific observation of the environment to understand the interactions of plants, animals, water, weather, fire and even the stars.
