Fire and biodiversity

In this unit, students:

• gain an understanding of how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples use fire to maintain balanced ecosystems to sustainably procure resources
• learn how fire has been used to promote the growth and survival of a wide range of plants and animals 
• demonstrate their learning independently and in cooperative group tasks.
