The circle holds deep significance in many cultures around the world, including First Nations cultures on this continent. In this unit, students will:
- explore the significance of circles from both a mathematical and cultural perspective
- derive formulas for the circumference and area of a circle in hands-on activities
- apply these formulas to First Nations contexts.
