Unit overview

In this unit, students:

  • build an understanding of First Nations Peoples’ connection to Country
  • consider how communities and First Nations people can maintain a connection or reconnect to Country in urban and built environments
  • investigate case studies related to place and connection, as well as the implementation of First Nations consultation for cultural recognition and environmental management of urban places
  • demonstrate learning through the creation of a proposal to address environmental issues relating to a local waterway, including proposed consultation with First Nations People/s.
