Unit overview
In this unit, students will:
- understand their own culture and its role in their identity
- engage with First Nations people’s stories and perspectives in English
- recognise the value of Country/Place to First Nations Peoples, and of nature to non-Indigenous people and indigenous and nonindigenous people of the target culture
- identify and apply conventions for writing and delivering an Acknowledgement of Country
- learn, use and practise the target language in spoken, written and multimodal texts and in spontaneous conversation and practised dialogue
- create and translate short texts in the target language and for the target culture
- demonstrate learning through the medium of video posts.
